Tournament Team Philsophy
Point FASTPITCH supports highly competitive 10U thru 18U Tournament Teams through organic growth and continuing development of League Players with the fundamentals of Catching, Throwing, Hitting and Knowledge of the Game as the cornerstone of our success. Below is a summary of 2008 accomplishments.
10U National Wrap - 7-30 -- 8-3
Our 10U Team made the trip to South Bend, IN and competed in the ASA Class "A" Northern Nationals Tournament. The big city players and National pressure did not phase this team at all. The team went 2-0 in Pool Play, beating Rockford Mean Machine and the Chicago Black Storm, both soundly. The Bracket round was a scourcher with the heat index above 100 and the Bay City, MI team and the Quad City, IL teams were able to prevail. The team was able to tour the Notre Dame campus and enjoyed the "journey" of being the first 10U team in league history to qualify for Nationals. A Special Thanks to ALL the businesses and people who made the journey possible.
